I did not receive the verification email for my profile, what do I do now?

The email will come from Military Sealift Command or no-reply@apply.sealiftcommand.com. Be sure to check your junk or email spam box. If it is there, be sure to add this address to your contacts. If you have still not received this, please use the Support button at the top of the Start the Process page.

I received an email with a link to verify my account, but it doesn't seem to work.

In the second paragraph of the verification email, there should be a link that begins "https://apply.sealiftcommand.com/user/confirm/". Click that link to be directed back to your verified profile. If clicking the link does not take you to the site (is not hyperlinked), you can copy and paste that link directly into your browser and that should allow you to verify.

Do I have to complete the entire profile at once?

No, the system will save your data and you can complete it at a later time. The only part you must complete is the initial submission of the Information Request Form.

If I do not have all the required documents can I still submit an application?

No, you must have all the required documents (i.e. Merchant Mariner's Credential, TWIC, U.S. Passport, etc.) uploaded into the system before you can apply.

It says my uploaded documents are illegible or I can't get my documents to upload. Can I just mail copies of my documents?

At this time, we are only accepting uploaded documents. Each document should be a single page - one sided .jpg or .pdf. If you are having issues with legibility or the upload process - some users have had luck taking digital pictures of their documents and uploading them as a high resolution picture rather than scanning.

I have several pages of documents, when I upload them to my profile only one page is visible.

Each document should be a single page - one sided .jpg or .pdf - scanned, named, and uploaded separately. Please name files that are part of a larger group accordingly. Example: "MMC_Page1.pdf" & "MMC_Page2.pdf".

I have already applied to a position but have additional/updated copies of my documents and would like them to be considered, can I resubmit my application?

Yes, you can update your files and resubmit an application. If your previous application is no longer active you can simply make your profile updates, find the position and re-apply. If your previous application is still active, please contact the CIVMAR Support Center at 888-891-4072 to have it removed before re-applying.

I have uploaded my documents but my profile says it is less than 100% complete and I cannot apply to jobs, how do I complete it?

When you are logged in to your profile at https://apply.sealiftcommand.com/profile the right hand column contains a link to "Profile Overview", this will pull up a list titled "Steps to Complete Your Profile Before Applying:" You can then update your profile at any time by selecting the appropriate sections from the right sidebar.

Can I apply for more than one position at a time?

No, but you do not have to reenter all of your information. The secure system saves all your data so that each time you would like to submit an application for an open position you just need to select that position and update your work experience to address the evaluation criteria (KSAs) for that position and submit.

How will I know my application package has been received?

You will get a confirmation email at the address you provided in your profile. Please make sure to check your junk email filter.

Can I print a copy of my application package for my records?

Yes, after you submit your application you will be given an option to print a copy for your records.

How can I check the status of my application package?

The status of your application will be listed in your profile overview section of your profile. You can log into that by visiting apply.sealiftcommand.com/profile. For more specific questions you may contact the CIVMAR Support Center at 888-891-4072.

Information on applications submitted before 11/13/2013 will not be available through this system. If you are attempting to check the status of an application submitted before that date, please contact the CIVMAR Support Center at 888-891-4072.

I've already filled out an IRF, can I submit an application?

IRFs created or submitted before 11/13/2013 will not be available through this system. If you would like to apply for a position that is currently open, please use this system to fill out an IRF and complete your profile. Once your profile is complete you can apply for any open position.

I received a notice in my email, what does this mean?

This notice is to inform you that there is an update required or you are missing information in your application. You will be able to respond to this notice regarding your application by logging in to your profile and clicking the link under the notice / response. You can respond to the notice and attach the necessary information in this window. We recommend you also update your profile with the new information for use in any future applications. Please be aware however, updates made to your profile will not be forwarded to satisfy notice requests.

I can't remember my password, what should I do?

If you have lost or forgotten your password, please visit https://apply.sealiftcommand.com/user/reset-request to submit a request for a new password. A link is also available at the bottom of the log-in section on the "Start the Process" page.

I am a current maritime academy student and my login information is not working.

If you are still a current maritime student who has submitted an application already please log in at https://apply.sealiftcommand.com/academy.
